Dr. Carrie Pisklak

A lifelong Texan, Dr. Carrie Pisklak was raised in Dallas. She attended Texas A&M University in College Station where she received a bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and graduated with the honor of Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Pisklak received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio where she earned numerous scholastic awards and graduated with the honor of Summa Cum Laude. Upon completing her dental training, she was accepted into residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston where she received a Master of Science degree and Certificate in Orthodontics.

Dr. Pisklak takes an active role in meeting and exceeding the standards of her profession. She is an active member of many professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Texas Dental Association and the Greater Houston Dental Society.

In February 2006, Dr. Pisklak became one of the youngest orthodontists in the country to become board certified. This prestigious certification is given by The American Board of Orthodontists to those orthodontists who undergo intense examination and presentation of treated orthodontic cases.

As a specialist in the field of orthodontics, Dr. Pisklak is committed to providing high-quality patient care in a friendly and caring environment. She utilizes the most cutting edge orthodontic technologies available to provide patients with the lifelong gift of a beautiful and functional smile.

Missi Shapiro

Missi Shapiro, moved to Houston in 1982 from Louisville, KY. She has been in the Orthodontic field for 8 years. She is a people person and enjoys interaction with patients and their families. Recently married, October of 2006, to husband Mark. They have 2 dogs (Betsy and Getty) and a cat (Sam).

She keeps busy spending time with family and friends, going to the movies and they love bowling.

She started working for Dr. Pisklak in September of 2006.

Marisela Borrego-Briones

Marisela is a native Houstonian and has worked in the field of dentistry for 18 years. She began her career at the University of Texas Dental Branch in the Academic Affairs Dept. She then went on to work for a Pediatric Dentist as a dental assistant.

Marisela and her husband have 3 children. They are involved in music, dance and sports activities. Their ages range from middle school to college.

Marisela started working with Dr. Pisklak on February 7, 2005. She feels great pleasure working with Dr. Pisklak and being able to help her establish her Orthodontics Practice.

Kim Hance

Kim, has lived her entire life in the Fort Bend area. She has 17 years experience in orthodontics. She enjoyes being with people and children. Her and her husband David have two children. They also enjoy fishing, going to the beach, swimming and all outdoor sports. Kim started working for Dr. Pisklak on February 1, 2006. She feels that it has been a pleasure getting back into the field of Orthodontics and joining such a great team.
